XBOX 360

The XBOX 360 has so many new features as opposed to the older version. Some features that really stand out are the wireless remotes, the 20gb hard drive and the aesthetically pleasing exterior casing.

Firstly the XBOX 360 is available in a choice of silver or black. Both are very appealing and it is a matter of personal choice which one the consumer wants to choose. Additionally you can remove nearly all the plates from the exterior casing to replace with whatever color you want.

The wireless remotes are a blessing. No more tangled remote wires or having to sit close to the console just to be able to play the many wonderful games.

The 20gb hard drive is more than ample to store multimedia such as videos and music. The hard drive is also upgradeable leaving the option to upgrade later down the track but this wonít be necessary. Just to give you an idea of how much 20gb can hold, it can store either 5 full length dvd movies or upwards of 6000 mp3 songs.

Below the visually appealing exterior lies a lot of processing power. The XBOX 360 has 3 3.2GHz processor. Standard personal computers have just the one processor. Imagine 3 times the processing power of a well decked out personal computer and youíll understand what kind of power the XBOX 360 has.

To match the processing power the XBOX 360 has a custom ATI graphics processor. The ATI graphics processor has a whopping 512mb of RAM and runs at a speed of 500MHz. This is enough to make light work of any high end game.

Besides the major feature of the XBOX 360 that Iíve listed above, it also comes with many additional accessories such as the wireless headset and so forth. The XBOX 360 is a great innovation in the world of gaming and will continue to increase in popularity making it a formidable opponent to sonyís playstation 3.

Xbox Games For Online Gaming That Mom And Dad Should Know About

If your kid has an Xbox and they play online you will often here them either yelling at the TV or talking to you about how awesome it is. You will often see your kid wanting to play role playing games or shooting games because they like the action and shooting. If you love to play Halo then you will love to play that type of game online. Your kid probably already plays it and that's what he has been trying to tell you forever.

If you have a computer and an internet connection you can play any online game as long as you have a subscription so you can make an account. I play Counterstrike and I love it. You just get online and start playing with your friends from the game. You will make friends fast online if you play a decent amount. The more you play the better you will get. Most kids that play computer games on the internet play the most insane hours that you will ever hear. Kids somehow find a way to play more then 50 hours a week. It is in the stats on Counterstrike if you were to look.

The other type of activities that you might find your students or kids playing is the flash games on the internet. While at school I used to play the flash games after I did my work because I had a computer class and I had computers in some of my other classes. We would get online and look for some that were fun until school was out and we could go get on the real servers and play real online games.

If you have an Xbox or a Sony Play Station then you probably already know about online gaming. All you do is sign up for the service and you play the types that are online enabled. Most online games are like Gears of War and Halo 3. You can also find shooter types like Call of Duty I think they actually just came out with a new Call of Duty called Modern Warfare. I heard it was a good one but I am not sure if it is online enabled. Although I am pretty sure that you play it on the net because most of these games you can play online. They are pretty fun you usually just go out and start shooting up the other team. There are role playing games and such like that but they don't tend to make them for internet play although they do have a few of them I think like Final Fantasy and games like those. I am not really into the whole anime theme like the fable games and stuff; online gaming is for shooters in my opinion.

World of Warcraft Hacks - Getting 300 Gold An Hour Is Possible?

world of warcraft guide, world of warcraft strategy guide, world of warcraft gold, wow gold

Article Body:
There is no such thing as a World of Warcraft Gold Cheat before I even get started but today I am going to tell you a few World of Warcraft Gold Cheat secrets!

The best way to make gold in WoW is to find a good farming guide on the subject because if you are looking for a World of Warcraft Gold Cheat they really do not exist and you may run the risk of getting your account banned!

Here are a few tips and the closest thing to a World of Warcraft Gold Cheat in the game:

The first are to target for lots of gold is the North Western Plaugelands and make your way to Scarlet City, as you make your way there you will pass a tower, and once you find the tower it is a very good area to get loads of gold off the spellbinders there!

The mobs in there will drop a formula for a weapon called ìEnchant Weapon Crusaderî and this will make you more then 200 gold if you sell it!

Itís not really a World of Warcraft Gold Cheat but you can see how much gold it is possible to make as the characters will respawn time and time again!

Another good way to make gold in WoW and close to a World of Warcraft Gold Cheat is to attack the Scarlet Priests in the same area they are elite but will die quite easily! They will give you rune cloths which are epic items and very hard to come by which means you can sell them for huge amounts of gold!

After you have done that another area that may well be of interest is the Eastern part of the Plaugelands and you will find that the mobs there will drop a recipe for ìGreater Protection Potionî, This is a very good World of Warcraft Gold Cheat as they tend to drop this item quite a lot and it is worth 1 gold for every potion.

I hope these little World of Warcraft Gold Cheats have been of some use, but if you really want to make a lot of gold on WoW you should have a look at some of the World of Warcraft Gold Cheat Guides out there.

Voice Communication: The Future of Online Games

Online games have become rapidly popular over the last few years. In fact, it has become a multi-billion dollar industry. These massive virtual worlds provide a realistic, engaging environment in which people can play and interact. It has been a fertile ground for gamers from all walks of life to come together. As a result, these games have produced large and vibrant online communities.

In these virtual worlds, you can choose an avatar or character that represents you. The latest games offer the ability to customize these characters in unlimited ways; you can change your characterís hairstyle, facial features, size, weight, and clothing. How about the ability to change your voice to match your online personality? That is currently not a standard feature in games. But I do see technology stepping in and providing a solution.

Think of the possibilities: gamers could now change their voice to sound like a troll, giant, dwarf or dark lord. They've spent many hours making their online character to look a certain way, why not change their voice to match? It is products like MorphVOX by Screaming Bee that can fill this need. MorphVOX is voice-changing software specifically designed for online games. This tool allows gamers to role-play more effectively. Not only can they look the part, they can also have a voice to match.

Voice communication in games has been around for quite some time, but only recently has gained popularity in online games. Much of this may have to do with the increase in the number of people who now have broadband Internet connections instead of dial-up. This provides the extra precious bandwidth to cover an additional voice channel. As voice chat is becoming increasingly prevalent in online game use, companies like Xfire, TeamSpeak, and Ventrillo have emerged to meet the needs.

One company, Xfire, demonstrates the popularity of voice chat. Xfire provides a free application that can be used by gamers to easily find friends online and communicate in game. Starting in 2004, the companyís market share has rapidly grown to almost four million users.

Many gamers are finding voice chat to be a superior way to communicate as opposed to the slower process of typing messages on a keyboard. If a monster jumps out, there is no need for fumbling with the keys when you need to shout for help. Voice chat also lets gamers coordinate large groups of people effectively in large raids.

What about role-playing and voice communication? There is some reluctance to use voice communication in online role-playing games. Much of this issue stems from the lack of good voice-changing tools in the past that can work effectively with games. In addition, there is less control of good content on voice chat. External noises, such as other people talking in the same room, are very distracting and canít be easily masked over a microphone. Also, some less helpful gamers could use voice chat to taunt or annoy other people, who may be unable to turn off an in-game voice channel. And role-playing over live voice communication poses a challenge for most people of finding the right thing to say at the right time. Most of us arenít very good at extemporaneous acting ñ improvising in real-time.

However, new online games such as Dungeons & Dragons Online (DDO) provide in-game voice capabilities that are adding a new life to role-playing. Many people are now starting to adopt voice chat as an important part of their in-game experience. As games like DDO become more common, I foresee brighter days ahead for voice communication. By providing a rich auditory experience, voice chat will improve realism for gamers. This is part of the never-ending process of adding more immersion to these virtual worlds.

Video Games Can Be Good For You

Millions of Americans enjoy video games-for the adrenaline rush, the companionship, the competition, and the chance to become a conquering adventurer, at least in a virtual world.

The good news is Americans don't have to break the bank to play the video games they love. Turner Broadcasting System's GameTap is one of the latest and greatest options for consumers to get their game on and experience all the good things about games. The first of its kind broadband entertainment network, GameTap (www.gametap.com) offers hundreds of the greatest games across multiple platforms for an affordable $14.95 per month.

"Turner created GameTap because they wanted gamers to have a wide variety of games-a virtual vault-that allows them to experience all types of thrills including role-playing, action, and puzzle games," says Stuart Snyder, General Manager of GameTap.

But in addition to being fun, can playing these games really promote self-improvement? Hold on to your controllers: some researchers and social critics are now arguing that video gaming has its virtues. It can speed reflexes, improve mental abilities and even reduce violence. While nobody is arguing for a 24-hour diet of video games, many observers now see some hidden values.

Consider research done at the University of Rochester in New York, which concluded that young adults who frequently played video games can improve their "video attention." In one experiment, for example, test subjects were asked to quickly figure out whether or not a certain shape-a square or a diamond-appeared within one of the six rings. Video gamers came out on top. The researchers said that video games force players to simultaneously juggle a variety tasks, such as detecting and tracking enemies, and avoiding getting hurt. Those game-playing skills can translate into more general visual skills that apply to everyday life.

"We sometimes think of popular culture as a passive recreation, but there's nothing passive about video games-they are the most interactive, demanding entertainment medium ever created," said Snyder. "If the GameTap staff of overachievers is any indication, video games are a great way to learn how to think on your feet."

Simulation games, where players design everything from roller coasters to cities, can get kids interested in mechanical engineering and urban planning. Wrote author Steven Johnson: "My nephew would be asleep in five seconds if you popped him down in an urban studies classroom, but somehow an hour of playing 'Sim City' taught him that high tax rates in industrial areas can stifle development."

Johnson, the author of "Everything Bad Is Good For You: How Today's Popular Culture Is Actually Making Us Smarter," has become a prominent defender of video games. He has also entered the controversy over whether video games promote aggression, arguing that crime among teens and adolescents has dropped by almost two-thirds since 1975. Whether video games can take credit is a matter of strong debate, but Johnson suggests that video games may act as a safety valve.

Video games may even have therapeutic value. Mark Griffiths, a professor at Nottingham Trent University in England, argues that video games can help distract children undergoing chemotherapy and treatment for sickle cell anemia. The games may also work as physical therapy for arm injuries.

Like many researchers, Griffiths advocates moderation in game play. GameTap's Snyder agrees. "At GameTap, we love games, we're immersed in them, and we've got hundreds to choose from. But we also know the importance of putting the controller down. A virtual world can be fun, but there's no substitute for the real thing."

Site Offers Free Xbox With Membership

Video games may be nothing more than evening diversions to most Americans, but the industry as a whole is a multibillion-dollar heavyweight. And now enthusiasts can play for free if they know where to look on the Internet.

NetFree Direct LLC, an Internet marketing company, provides a way for anyone who participates in advertisers' offers on its site to get a free Xbox 360. Microsoft broke new ground in the video game business when the Xbox launched in 2001, and came back swinging last year with the wildly popular Xbox 360.

Simply by visiting NetFree Direct's Web site, people can sign up by entering an e-mail address, answering a few simple questions and responding to advertisers' offers. NetFree Direct works with leading sponsors such as BMG, Blockbuster, Netflix, Discover Card, USA Today and Disney.

And if you're looking for a flat-screen TV with which to hook up your Xbox, NetFree's site offers those for free, too. In fact, the site also offers free laptops, desktop PCs, mobile phones, PlayStations and other game consoles, digital cameras, gift cards and other popular electronics - all sponsored by leading advertisers.

The Xbox 360 offer is featured on the home page of the site with directions on how to become a member. After completing an advertiser's survey or subscription, signing up for a free trial or applying for a credit card offer, the member is eligible to receive the free reward.

The trial offers or subscriptions can be canceled without obligation, but members will still receive the Xbox or other giveaways.

RuneScape Economy

The RuneScape economy is quite similar to real world economics. One difference, however, is that skill development is encouraged along side wealth accumulation. Various currencies are used regionally throughout RuneScape. Inflation is controlled by various means, as is the economy in general.

The base of the economy is comprised of potatoes and wheat, then fish, logs, ores and coal and also bones and raw meat accumulated by killing monsters. A second tier of commodities is made up of items processed from harvested items includes tanned hides, metal bars, cooked foods, gems and runes. A third tier is made up of fully processed items and rare items.

The value of commodities is primarily determined by scarcity and the skill level required to obtain them. Items that are not readily available are more valuable. Those items that require a higher skill level are scarcer and therefore more valuable. Monetary value is not the only judge of value. If a lot of experience is gained, the value of the commodity is also increased.

The primary currency in RuneScape is gold pieces or coins. This currency is often referred to as gp. However, there are also alternate currencies. One of these is Tokkul. This currency, made of black obsidian, was introduced into the city of Tzhaar in 2005. Tokkul can be acquired by killing high-level demons and as an award in the Fight Pits and Fight Caves. Players can also earn a type of currency called Trading Sticks. These are obtained by performing favors for community members. New currencies are continuously being introduced into RuneScape. However, these are usually confined to specific regions or can only be used to purchase certain items.

All buying and selling prices at specialty stores are controlled. The price is determined by the value of the item and the quantity in stock. It is possible to make quick money by buying cheaper items that are overstocked and then selling them to stores where these items are not in stock for a higher price. Alchemy spells allow players to collect valuable goods because of their alchemical value rather than the real value.

Inflation is also controlled by assuring that money leaves the game. Barrows weapon and armor sets are just one of the ways in which this is done. Since they require constant repair, money is continuously leaving the game as it is paid to an NPC. Also, Construction has caused a drop in the price of items such as Party hats and whips.

Thus, RuneScape serves as a virtual world with a virtual economy. It is controlled but continuously changing. Knowing how the overall economy works can facilitate the moneymaking process.

PSP Downloads ñ Software, Music, Videos, Games and More

PSP downloads, gives you the ability to do quite a bit. In fact, this unit is almost like carrying around your own personal gaming computer in your pocket. When it was created, it was created to provide for the highest level of portable gaming possible. The PSP is more than just that today. It will allow you to watch the latest video, download a few games to play whenever you would like to, and you can even get the latest news if you would like to. PSP downloads offer you the flexibility of being able to play and see whatever you want without having to go down to the video store and paying for it.

When it comes down to it, PSP downloads will allow you to do whatever you want whenever you would like to. They come programmed with the ability to connect to the web or to the network to allow you to download from the site. But, you can also access several communities that offer free downloads as well. You do not have to go through their network, in other words. If you would like to download PSP games to your player, simply visit any of these websites, register with them (which seems to be a requirement) and choose the games that you would like to play.

There are also many paid memberships that you can have as well. Of course, the best PSP games are available on these locations for downloads. PS2 Game Rentals ñ The Best Places to Rent PS2 Games

Renting video games has never been so appealing as it does in this day in age. Many video game rental clubs offer PS2 game rentals, amongst many other console games, to the public for one low monthly price. Today, we will be investigating into which rental clubs offer the best quality and selection when it comes to your favorite PS2 games.

As of 2006, there are 3 online video game rental companies that stand out amongst the rest of the pack. If your into video gaming, you might have heard of them. Gottaplay, GameFly, and Intelliflix are currently our nations leading chain of video game rentals. Below, we will be evaluating each of the 3 companies when it comes to PS2 game renting.

PS2 Game Rental Reviews
Gottaplay PS2 Rentals
Gottaplay rental company is fast becoming one of the hottest online video game rental companies in the US, trailing right next to GameFly . They are the first online company of their kind that offers phone support to all their customers, along with a massive game selection. Gottaplay has a large selection of PS2 games within their arsenal. Here are some of the stats that we came up with when reviewing this company

1. PS2 Game Selection : Roughly 700 PS2 titles
2. New Release Titles: All new releases were available as soon as they hit the local stores. Roughly around 75 new releases at the time of publishing this article.
3. Classic Game Titles : Many PS2 classics were included such as Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and other great titles of the past, present and future.
4. Hard-to-Find Games : Many games that we never even knew about were included within their selection. If you want to play a game with little or no popularity, Gottaplay has this covered as well.
5. PS3 Titles- Gottaplay will carry the most current PS3 titles once released.

GameFly PS2 Rentals
GameFly has been the online leader within the video game rental realm for quite some time. With a large selection of game rentals available reaching at over 5,000 titles, this company doesn't seem to be losing its edge when it comes to what they do best. One thing is for sure, when it comes to PS2 rentals, they cover the market with quality and selection. Lets take a better look:

1. PS2 Game Selection : Roughly 800 PS2 titles
2. New Release Titles: New releases are always available. Roughly around 60 new releases at this current time.
3. Classic Game Titles : Many PS2 classics are included, but the selection is not quite as comprehensive as Gottaplay's.
4. Hard-to-Find Games : With their large diverse selection of PS2 titles, hard to find games were easily found within their database. You'll find a great selection of "when did this come out" type of games.
5. PS3 Titles- GameFly will be one of the first rental companies to stock PS3 games once available.

Intelliflix PS2 Rentals
Intelliflix is looking to cover a wide variety of markets including movies, video games, and adult movies. Although they do cover a large area of rentals, they do not dominate within any particular market. Their plans are great for families that would like a one-stop-shop type of policy. When it comes to PS2 renting, they do carry a great selection of newer games, although their game selection isn't nearly as comprehensive as the other two mentioned above. They are still worth their weight in gold and worth mentioning for any PS2 game fanatic. Here is what we dug up.

1. PS2 Game Selection : Roughly 475 PS2 titles
2. New Release Titles: New releases are always available. Roughly around 50 new releases currently.
3. Classic Game Titles : There were a few PS2 classics available, but this company mainly focuses on their newer game titles. If your highly fond of classic PS2 titles, you may want to try GameFly or Gottaplay.
4. Hard-to-Find Games : There were a few scattered hard-to-find titles located within their database.
5. PS3 Titles- Intelliflix will also carry PS3 titles once released. I think any company serious about game rentals will have these titles covered.

Power Behind The Xbox360

Although Microsoft's Xbox was able to sell millions and millions of units worldwide, it was still considerably outsold by its competitor, Sony's PlayStation. In this day, wherein another revolution in video and gaming technology is at hand, the Xbox360 is more promising than ever.

What difference does the Xbox360 hold against its predecessor? Well, just like all gaming consoles, it is basically a computer that is designed to run video game programs. The difference is that they focus specifically on this function alone.

So how does the latest model from Microsoft differ from any other gaming console. As was mentioned earlier, the Xbox360 is a computer designed for playing video games. But aside from this, it was also designed to perform as a complete stand-alone entertainment system. To break it down, this new console can allow users to connect via a network, it can copy, stream, and download all sorts of media. This would, of course include in its arsenal, the ability to download and play HD movies, audio, as well as digital photos and games.

Now, since we know that all gaming consoles are simply computers designed for playing video games, let us take a look at the heart of all computers ñ the CPU. Just the same, video game consoles have a processor that would, of course, 'process' all the information being fed into the system. You could think of it as similar to a car's engine ñ it is the one that powers every function of the whole system. The latest innovation in the Xbox360 is that, they ìmodified the engineî to be able to deliver optimum performance for players.

Traditionally, CPUs process information via a single path. The more technical term for this is a thread. Now what the latest edition of the Xbox is bragging about is that under its hood, is a processor, or a core, that is able to process two threads simultaneously. This means that all the information that is being fed into it, is processed more effectively and efficiently because the ìbrainî is ìmulti-taskingî. Meaning, information about sound could be processed via one path, the other for the video graphics, etc. If you've ever noticed, past video games would either pause a bit or stutter occasionally. This is because the system is being bombarded by too much information, and it takes time for their 'brains' to be able to cope with the demands.

In addition to this, Microsoft has incorporated with this technology, a multi-core system that allows them to integrate more than one processor into a single chip. This is by far the latest innovation by hardware manufacturers ñ and yes, Microsoft has included it in their new Xbox game console. Having the ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time, it allows the game developers to come with strategies on how to maximize the potential of the machine, to deliver optimum performance.

This is the heart of why the Xbox has evolved to become even more powerful. There are a lot of other features about the new Xbox360 that definitely boosts its performance. But the heart of all of this, is of course the core that runs everything in it.

Playing Online Pool

Many people enjoy the great feeling of playing a good game of pool (or billiards if you really want to sound fancy). Rounding up a good game can be difficult though. You will either have to travel to a bar and pray that you can find someone who's interested in a good game, or you can buy a table and constantly pester all of your friends to play a game. Don't you wish there was some way you could experience pool through some sort of digital or electronic medium? Of course you do. Did you ever think of Internet pool?

Many different Internet arcades offer great flash games that can be played for free. These include pool games. You can usually find some format that will let you play your favorite game in a very convenient medium. The controls are excellent and allow you to easily get the experience of playing a good game inside the comfort of your own home.

You may think that playing over the Internet will cause the experience to become shallow or less interesting. I won't lie to you. You may miss the feeling of chalking up or the good fun of actually hitting the ball. The difference isn't too great though. You will be able to play with the same thought and skill that youíd normally put into a game. Youíll still get to think out what your next shot should be, and figure out the angles to pure perfection. Basically, you get exactly what youíd think youíd get in the terms of control. Everything is virtual, so you can plan out the spin, power, and direction of each shot with a few clicks. You just wonít actually be hitting anything.

The mode will be the biggest thing to get used too. There are some places that will allow you to have multiplayer games. This means that you and another person somewhere in the world will actually take turns and play out an entire game. You canít be sure of finding this though, and you may just have to rely on a score-based system to get your pool fix. This isnít too bad once you get used to it though. They basically just score you based on how well you played. So, if you take 100 shots to sink the eight ball, you wonít do well. Land a perfect break and sink them all, high score paradise. Pool is really pretty easy to score. Even more complicated forms, such as nine-ball, wonít upset the system much. A well built flash game will be able to handle just about anything that is thrown at it to reward a good player with the right score.

If you are a big fan of pool, you should love to play one of the online versions of it. It is just a lot more convenient. You donít have to go anywhere, you donít have to buy anything, you donít have to reset the table, and you can switch games easily. If you can get past some of the limitations of playing online, you should be able to really kick back and enjoy yourself.

Mass Grunts And Trolls

As we know, grunts are good hero killer with its normal attack.

Grunt, is the best unit in the game conservatively speaking and will against all other units.

The problem is that Grunt is a conservative unit. Their attack is not range. It doesnít has auto healing like trolls. It canít hit air. Itís not a spell casters.

I found grunts to be the best bargain in maps containing health fountain. Those are maps like Lost temples.

Quickly build farseer and mass grunts like crazy. Quickly creep the middle creeps near the fountain.

Now, while creeping, your grunt will heal. Due to Gruntsí huge HP, Grunts will heal much faster in the fountain.

Grunts normal attacks work wonder on the creeps with small armor.

So, quickly disposed of creeps with small armors first before attacking the creeps with big armors.

If you have enough grunts, you can start building trolls. That way, you can level up your Far Seer really fast.

When creeping somewhere far from the fountain, Grunts really shine. No need to lure creeps and stuff. Just attack the creeps. Grunts have cheap HP. Also, when one grunts are about to die, just move that grunts to the fountain to be reused latter.

Now, attack with all your might, once you have the earth quake.

Retreat with town portal when necessary.

The enemies of grunts are of course, air units.

Thatís why after about 6-8 grunts, start massing trolls. The trolls will take care of the air unit while your grunts take care the pesky hero and other ground units.

Usually, in the middle of a fight, enemies will focus on so many things. A quick earthquake to their farm would maximize damage even further.

When your base is attacked, try attacking enemies base. Grunts collect money every time they hit buildings. Also, with earthquake, chance is you do more damage to them than they do damage to you.

Rinse, Repeat, Questions?

Java Online Games

After Shockwave, Java is the most popular tool for developing free online games. It is a popular programming language which was developed by James Gosling during the 1990s. It is somewhat related to C++ but is much more simple, and is an object oriented language. Java was developed because C++ was considered to be too complex and when using it there were many errors.

C++ also lacked the ability for distributed programming. Gosling and his colleagues wanted to produce a system that could be used on various platforms, from computer to handheld devices. By 1994 Java begin to be used on the internet. They felt that the internet would become interactive, and this would be the perfect environment to use their programming language. They were right. Java has become one of the most well known platforms in use today on the internet.

Many developers of free online games have quickly realized its potential. While Shockwave has replaced Java as the most popular engine used for online games, Java is still the tool of choice among many developers. Java became very popular when Netscape decided to support the program with their browsers. Most people use Java by the "applets" which are supported by their online browsers.

Yahoo has often been credited with heavily using Java to produce online games. Yahoo games is the portion of their website in which players can play games by themselves or against other players. While most of these games are Java applets, others have to be downloaded onto the computer. Reviews are even featured where users can post their thoughts about the quality of the game. Yahoo is one of the most prominent promoters of free online games. Everything from fantasy sports to card games are available.

Despite this, there are some criticisms of the Java programming language. Shockwave has a 3D engine which is much more powerful, and many developers have chose it rather than Java. Others complain that it is not a very pure object oriented programming language. Those who dislike object oriented languages will not design free online games with Java. Programs written in Java may also run slower than programs written in other languages.

Despite these complaints, Java has become one of the most popular languages used for developing independent games. Advances in this language should allow it to produce games which are much higher in quality and graphical detail. Many popular games can be played at the Java website.

Introduction To Online Backgammon

Online play is not much different from table play. Both sides have the same pieces, dice, and game board. To play online a game site must be located. However, that is easy to find. Most sites are free to play on but registration is required. Depending on the site, you can play against a computer or other opponents. To play online, there will be a place to click for the dice roll during your turn. Once the dice are rolled, you can move the pieces you would like, just as you would for a regular backgammon game. And the game is won the same way; get all your pieces off the board before your opponent.

The nice thing about playing online is you donít have to play. You can just watch and learn if you want. This might be the best thing to do if you are just starting out. But when you do want to play you will be able to join in easily. And most sites have a tracking system so you know how well you are doing compared to other players.

Some sites are played for money. While it can be fun, it can also be dangerous if you are not careful. If you want to go this route, start out slow and only play for modest fees and winnings. Also remember that tournaments are played for money. These can be played against people across the country or globe depending on the hosting site. And with both money playing and tournaments the house takes a cut.

Most sites have you download part of the software before you can play. And many of the software programs only run on Windows based PCs. So unfortunately, MAC users are left out. However, other sites use a Java-script, which MAC users can use. This makes load times and lag lessen for players.

Many of the sites that offer online play are free but registration is required. Some are for members only, with a fee, but a guest can play for free with the member playing also. There are even sites to just play against a computer. This can be good to learn and get better before moving on to live people. And for those with time constraints, there are turn-based sites. Here you can play a few rounds at a time and then come back later to finish the game.

Online backgammon might have more options due to being able to play people everywhere. It is easy to learn and with many sites these days, easier to master. You donít have to wait for someone to play with you. The Internet has made it easy to play a game that has been enjoyed for over 5000 years.

How to make a Ghillie Suit

To make a ghillie suit is to invest much time and concentration into the effort. I will show you two different ways of making a ghillie suit - one is the expensive way and the other is the poor manís way.

The expensive way to make a ghillie suit would be to go out and buy a ìblankî. Usually a blank will be a poncho that has twine or burlap netted into it, to allow for the stringing in the foliage. Once you have this one, what you need to do is go to the area you will be using it, either the paintball arena or the hunting grounds you are going to venture to. What you do next is to pick up the surrounding habitat, grasses and leaves. Remember, if you use grass and leaves or other green items they will wilt very quickly. However, if you are hunting and most of what you will be in is dead leaves - that is a good thing. You assemble it by carefully weaving in different materials and making sure they stick. Eventually after a few hours of work you might have a whole arm done - you just repeat this until the entire ghillie suit is covered. Now throw it in a pile of leaves, and kick some dirt, mud, dust, anything like that on it. Step on it too - trample it. Once you have, you shouldnít be able to see it easily from a distance of ten feet.

If you donít have the money to buy one - make one! You will need some jute or burlap netting, or any comparable netting, along with either a sewing machine, or thread and needle. You can attach the netting loosely like scales on a lizard, or you can make it tight and conform. Personally I prefer scales, as it allows me to put more onto my ghillie suit. Once you have this assembled correctly, and your scales are on there, or whatever you have used, take it out back and make a mud puddle. Once you have a nice muddy puddle, dip the whole thing in it, and then rinse it off to get the major chunks out. Let it dry, and follow the same routine of heading out to where you will be hunting or paintballing, and get it gussied up with some twigs, grasses, leaves, and anything else. After you have it ready, dump some mud one it, and lightly rinse it in order to make the dirt look real - well the dirt is real, but you know what I mean.

Now, the difference between the two is the price, and the time it takes to assemble. Once you have it assembled and ready though, I guarantee you will love the ghillie suit you spent the most time on. The more effort and time you spend making one, the more satisfaction you will have when it is done. Remember, after all that manufacture you need to coat it in the dirt and surrounding smells too - this will throw off the scent from animals, and also make it look more natural.

How To Cheaply Produce And Market Online Games

I've talked to many artists and programmers who have said they would like to produce free online games. Many of these individuals are talented, but lack the college degree, connections, or capital necessary to design their own games. In this article I will explain a growing trend, and how you can produce quality online games for a low cost.

The console game industry has continued to increase the price for their products in recent years. Brand new games for the Xbox 360 now cost $60 each. The cost involved with developing games for the Xbox or Playstation is too much for most people. Only well established companies with lots of resources are able to produce games for these consoles. This puts the independent developer in a position where it is difficult to compete.

However, the rise of the internet has made producing free online games much easier. It is now possible for a independent developer to hire both programmers and designers to create an online game. How can this be done? When you hear of outsourcing in the news, you often think of fortune 500 companies. In reality, even small business people can outsource by using the internet. It is possible to find programmers in India, China, or Eastern Europe who can write code for very affordable prices. The same is true for designers.

With a budget of only a few thousand dollars, it is possible for you to produce free online games. You could hire programmers and designers via forums, and once you have designed the game you can cheaply advertise it via the internet. You could use text link or banner advertising. You could upload samples of your game onto P2P networks. Many of these advertising methods are low cost or free of charge. You could also use Adwords to market your product.

The internet makes it possible for small groups to produce quality games and compete with large companies. Before the rise of the internet this was impossible, and most people had to go work for large corporations if they wanted to produce video games.

It is also possible to build a website where you allow people to play the game free of charge. This could allow you to build a gaming community where you can earn income from advertising. There are no limits to the types of free online games you can produce on the internet. The only thing that limits you is your imagination.

Games - Consoles - technology evolved

Games consoles have a colourful history, but they only really rose into the public consciousness in the ë80s with the NES ñ the original Nintendo system. ëNintendoí became a word meaning ëvideo gameí, and the Mario character became a worldwide sensation.

Since then, games consoles have been an unstoppable industry. Nintendo dominated for years with the NES, the Super NES and the portable Game Boy systems, only to have its dominance threatened by Sonyís Playstation and later Playstation 2 and Portable Playstation (PSP). Despite the fact that the history of mass-market games consoles only really stretches back two decades or so, there have been dozens of consoles in this time, and all-out wars to capture the market. The quality of graphics has improved amazingly in this time ñ try looking at the original Mario next to a modern game like Grand Theft Auto or Halo ñ although it is a matter of some debate whether gameplay (the ëfun factorí) has improved to match.

Probably the biggest thing in games consoles today is the shift towards online gaming, led by Microsoftís Xbox Live service. Online gaming allows people to play against each other all over the world using nothing more than a TV, a console, an Internet connection, and occasionally a headset to shout insults at each other.

All that could be about to change, however, as Sony prepares to launch the Playstation 3, and Nintendo works on the Wii. The two consoles are set to fight it out over the next few years, with the PS3 taking the position of being very expensive with extremely good graphics, and the Wii being more basic and cheaper, but trying to put the focus back on fun. The Internet is buzzing with Wii supporters who remember the Nintendo games of their youth, and hope for a return to simple, fun games, although it seems unlikely that the battle will be won that easily.

Free Online Games- Use Strategy Games To Develop Thinking

Most of the management courses have strategy game playing as a subject. I am a marketer. My product price is say - x. my competitor introduces his/her product at price - y. what should I do with my price that will increase my share. Because whatever I do, my competitor will manipulate their price. This becomes a game of strategy between my competitor and me. Who so ever devises a better strategy wins in the marketing competition. Free online games help in thinking development for such situations.

Our life is made of strategic steps. Can free online games help us develop our strategic thinking? Let me give one more example of games and strategy. I am an employer. I want to give only a small raise to my employees. But they want more or will leave the job. The risk faced by them is that of not getting another job. The risk for me is to lose my trained employees/. What should I do to retrain them even by giving only a small raise? This is another game that is played between an employer and an employee. Free online games can help us learn more about how to develop strategies for winning.

We all play roles and games with each other. Look at the discount sale announced by big shops. They want the customers to buy goods when the prices are high and the customers want to postpone their purchases till the sale is announced. This is another game playing. Every field of life involves game playing and strategy making. Who so ever has the winning strategy wins in the end. to think strategically is a very important quality of mind. free Online Games can help in developing that ability substantially.
