For those of you with limited RuneScape skills, essence running is an excellent way to earn money or runes. Even though there are numerous ways to essence run, it is all based on one basic concept. Because runecrafters can only carry 23-27 essences at a time, they are not able to accumulate very much runecrafting experience very quickly. As a runner, you are there to help others gain runecrafting experience. By doing so, you will be able to earn runes or cash.
There are various items needed for essence running. These include:
Boots of lightness
No weapons or armor
27 Pure Rune Essence
Something, such as Law Runes, to take up inventory space and therefore quicken the banking process
So how do you get started? Check out forums. There you will find people looking to hire essence runners. Once you find a potential employer, here are several things to keep in mind:
How much does the employer pay?
Are you provided with essences?
Are there bonuses available?
How many runners do they have?
How many essences are required per run?
What is the employerís runecrafting level? (More runes can be made from the same amount of essences in certain levels.)
In order to essence run successfully, you must trade the essence unnoted. It is also essential that you trade them at the correct temple. Remember to travel light. This means lightweight armor, boots of lightness, and bare essentials in your inventory.
Also, common courtesy will go a long way. Be sure to thank the crafter who traded with you. It is, after all, a free service. In order to avoid being neglected, only say ìlaw me plzî if you are inside the Altar and no one is trading with you when you are to the side. Also, having two pouches does not mean that people will trade you twice. It just slows down the process. Finally, if you are inside the Altar, stand to one side. Avoid the line where the crafters are.
When earning runes, itís important to know how you can use the type of rune you are running. First, there are four elemental runes: air, water, fire and mind. These are used in spells. Airs are generally best for lower level mages, as they are used for offensive spells. Higher-level mages will benefit most from fire, as they are used in god spells. Body runes are good for stat reduction spells. You will generally use only a few cosmic runes, as they have limited uses. Natures are among the most useful runes because they are used for high alchemy. Lastly, law runes are best for pure mages.

Cruel Solitaire Strategy Guide
Cruel Solitaire is an unusual solitaire game, that many people think has a low success rate. Careful planning will allow the advanced solitaire player to win more than 50% of the games they play though.
The trick to winning cruel solitaire is to know when to deal from the talon. When you first start playing cruel solitaire, it seems like dealing from the talon randomly shuffles the cards, but this is not the case. A deal from the talon just redeals the cards in the same order they currently appear.
This allows an advanced player to have some knowledge of what will happen when the talon deal is done... which vastly improves the chances of winning every game of cruel solitaire that you play.
There are certain easy-to-learn patterns that help with this.
If all the stacks to the left of a stack have 4 cards in them before the redeal, then after the redeal, the card that is on top will stay on top.
For example, suppose the first 3 stacks appear like this:
Stack-A: 4 Cards
Stack-B: 4 Cards
Stack-C: 5 Cards with a 5 of Diamonds on top.
All the stacks before Stack-C have 4 cards in them, so after a redeal, the 5 of Diamonds will still be at the top of Stack-C.
This is the same no matter how many cards are in Stack-C. So if the stacks are like this:
Stack-A: 4 Cards
Stack-B: 4 Cards
Stack-C: 2 Cards with a 5 of Diamonds on top.
Then the 5 of Diamonds will still be on top of Stack-C after a talon redeal.
But if an earlier stack does not have 4 cards in it, then the card will NOT stay on top after a redeal.
So if the stacks are like this:
Stack-A: 5 Cards
Stack-B: 4 Cards
Stack-C: 2 Cards with a 5 of Diamonds on top.
Then the 5 of Diamonds will NOT be on top of Stack-C after a redeal.
Knowing this pattern will give you much greater control over cruel solitaire, and allows for some powerful strategies that will vastly increase your chances of winning.
DON'T ALWAYS MOVE CARDS TO THE FOUNDATION...
Because of the above pattern, it does not always make sense to move a card to the talon at the first opportunity. Instead, you can keep the card, and just make sure that you don't put any extra cards in the stacks to the left of it.
This way, you can keep redealing, to expose new cards, and you will KNOW that the card will always remain in play. Only when you can't make any more moves should you then move the card to the foundation.
This gives you the most opportunity to keep playing, without blocking play. And it leads to a general procedure, that you can follow to win a lot more games of cruel solitaire...
A GENERAL PROCEDURE TO WIN CRUEL SOLITAIRE...
Here is a procedure that will help you to win cruel solitaire. It isn't perfect, and you'll probably make your own alterations to it as you get better at the game, but it shows how to carefully play cruel solitaire to avoid blockages.
A - Find the rightmost card that can go onto the talon.
B - Do all the moves to the right of that card that you can, starting with highest rank ones
C - Redeal
D - Go back to A
Once there are no more moves that can be made to the right of the card, then move the card in the stack to the foundation, and then redeal, and go back to A.
If no cards can play, then order all the cards you can, starting with the highest rank ones, and then redeal.
That's it!
You can definitely tweak this procedure to make it better, but I've tried to keep it simple here, and it should allow you to play cruel solitaire a lot better than before. Have fun!

But having a network of friends in runescape is part of the game. Somehow training is less boring, fighting runescape dragons is less scary and PKing is ten times as fun whenever you have runescape friends nearby keeping company in runescape. But making a runescape friend in runeScape is very different than making one in real life.
One of the best ways to make a good, lasting runescape friend in runescape is PKing. If you like to PK then find someone in runescape around your level. Ask them to team up (make sure they donít backstab you!) and after you get your first kill together youíll have a Runescape friend for life in runescape.
Another thing: if youíre selling an item to a runescape player and itís a fair price (it should be), then donít hesitate to chat about stuff outside of the trade about runescape. You might find that youíll make a lasting runescape friend this way not to mention a reliable buyer in the long run in runescape.

Computer Games in the Childís Life
Computer games have a large army of opponents who is never tired of blaming the gaming industry with all the mortal sins. I cannot say that I do support them and their accusations. Surely they are not groundless. But I want to find out: are games the only ones to blame? Do you remember the winter tragedy of 1997 in provincial American town of Paducah? On a bright winter morning of the first of December, a 14 ñyear-old Michael Carnealís took six guns to school with him. After that he hid in the trees and waited till school prayer ended. When the pupils started going out from the chapel he fired rapidly and killed three schoolchildren and another five were seriously wounded. The journalists informed the whole world of the tragedy without any delay. I consider it to be the first mistake. Why? Some people may think: ìWhy canít I try such a trick myself and become known all over the world?î Believe me, there are enough people who would think just like that. When the police arrived these two ìheroesî shot themselves in the school library. Like in the case with the first teenager the two guys were vehement fans of DOOM and Quake. The trio spent all their time in net battles, had their own web pages devoted to their favourite games and built the levels. Analysing the reasons of the outrageous conduct the specialists were stumped with the question who was at fault? The parents of the killed children knew exactly who was to blame. They sued the entertaining industry with $ 130 million dollars. They brought a charge against three owners of porno sites, a few companies developing the computer games and film company Warner Brothers for their film ìBasketball Diariesî, where the main character kills his teacher and his school mates. However the main stress was on the cruel games. The prosecution insists that the games produced by these companies ìpresent violence in especially attractive and pleasant mannerî.
May I ask, why are games the first to blame? Thousands of new games come up every year and thousands of people play them. The contents of the games can not be compared with the abundance of informational dirt in the movies. My personal opinion is that films have no competitors in violence. Films demonstrate really scary things: how the crimes should be prepared and what fun it can be to kill people like you. In this aspect games are underachievers. Besides the movies we also have TV where every criminal report shows the different types of murders with anything available. Donít you worry about it? The court unconditionally acknowledged the negative influence of games on Michaelís immature psyche. However, the examination proved him to be quite adequate! After this he was sentenced to a life imprisonment without being eligible for ticket of leave during the first 25 years of his term. Harris and Klebold will be judged by quite the other court.
